Young Sheldon’s Annie Potts Teases Return in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Set Photos
Previously, it was confirmed that the first episode of Georgie …Potts shared a new image from the set of a sign brandishing her character’s name along with the official logo for the spinoff series. Another photo shared shows Potts posing with Rachel Bay Jones and Melissa Peterman. Jones played Mandy’s mother in Young Sheldon, while Peterman played Brenda Sparks.
…will serve as series regulars in the new series. Also featured in the spinoff is Mandy’s brother, Connor, with Dougie Baldwin taking over the role from Joseph Apollonio, who appeared in an episode as the character in Young Sheldon. Jessie Prez will also stars as Ruben, one of the employees of Jim’s tire shop.
Fans can expect to see some other familiar faces from Young Sheldon in the new series, albeit in a more limited capacity. After Mary and Meemaw pop up in the first episode, Raegan Revord will return as Missy Cooper in the second one. As of now, it hasn’t been confirmed if Iain Armitage will make an appearance as Sheldon Cooper, but it seems more likely than not that it will happen. It’s been teased that the character could return for a holiday episode, as that would make the most sense from a storyline standpoint.

Fellow EP Steve Holland added, “Like we’ve always said, this is a world where this family exists and can be a part of this world. We love all these actors. Sheldon is in Pasadena going to school, but I think for a Christmas or a Thanksgiving [episode], we would love to have him stop by. This is a world where these actors can keep coming and playing. We don’t want to make it a ‘guest star of the week’ thing, but they’re a part of this world.”
