Georgie & Mandy Enlists Young Sheldon’s Pastor Jeff to Mediate In-Law Feud — 2025 FIRST LOOK
In the episode, titled “A House Divided,” Mary and Audrey (played by Rachel Bay Jones) “compete for their granddaughter’s love,” according to series co-creator Steve Holland. Eventually, Jeff attempts to play mediator between CeeCee’s well-meaning grandmothers. “I don’t know that he’s doing great, but he’s certainly trying to [mediate].
“Mary and Audrey butt heads, they don’t see eye to eye, and that’s a fun thing we haven’t gotten to explore,” Holland tells TVLine. “To put them head to head… felt like a really fun episode to do — and when we were breaking that story, it also seemed like a great chance to bring Matt Hobby back. It was so much fun to have him, and so much fun to put [those characters] in front of an audience and get a little Pastor Jeff sprinkled in our lives again.”
In addition to Georgie & Mandy series regulars Montana Jordan (Georgie), Emily Osment (Mandy), Will Sasso (Jim) and Jones (Audrey), Perry (Mary), Reagan Revord (Missy), Craig T. Nelson (Dale) and Annie Potts (Meemaw) have all reprised their Young Sheldon roles in one or more episodes. Two more episodes air this year — on Dec. 5 and 12 — before Season 1 of the hit sitcom resumes on Thursday, Jan. 30 (CBS, 8/7c).
