‘Big Bang Theory’ Spinoff Alert! Everything We Know About Stuart’s New Show So Far

The Big Bang Theory universe has expanded once more. After an extremely successful spinoff in Young Sheldon and a second season being ordered for Georgie and Mandy, the creators are ready to bring viewers yet another point of view. And the title has given a glimpse into who we can expect to see!
You may remember Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) from the original series as the owner of the comic book shop, as it was a key part of the show. Now, you’ll get to see the character and learn more about him in the upcoming spinoff, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe.
What is the new ‘Big Bang Theory’ spinoff about?
There is currently very little information about what to expect from the spinoff, but considering what we’ve gotten from the genius minds of The Big Bang Theory co-creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, it’s bound to be good.
In the original series, Sussman’s character, Stuart Bloom, was the good-hearted comic bookstore owner who was often unhappy he wasn’t a part of the gang. But when he met his girlfriend and became friends with Raj (Kunal Nayyar), things began to bloom.
Warner Bros. Television CEO Channing Dungey has given a tidbit of info on where the scripts for the show stand.
…Dungey said. “We’ve seen some material at the studio, and we’ve had some creative conversations with Max, so we are hopeful for good news soon.”
Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is being written and executively produced by Big Bang mastermind Chuck Lorre, as well as Bill Prady and Zak Penn. The series will be a part of the Chuck Lorre Productions family, in association with Warner Bros. TV. The show will be available for streaming on the platform, Max. There is no premiere date set as of now.
Who from the cast is returning for ‘Stuart Fails to Save the Universe’?
Although the series hasn’t technically been given the green light yet, there has been some insight on what the series will focus on and who will appear in the spinoff. But while things are a bit up in the air, here is everything to know (so far) about Stuart Fails to Save the Universe.
The series will bring back The Big Bang Theory’s beloved Kevin Sussman as Stuart Bloom with a cast of new friends. The show will likely also include Lauren Lapkus, who previously appeared as Stuart’s girlfriend in season 12 of the original series, along with Brian Posehn and John Ross Bowie returning as CalTech physicists, Bert Kibbler and Barry Kripke.Deal of the Day
While the four actors are not formally cast in the series (since it hasn’t been greenlit just yet), there are talent holding deals for the actors.
Sussman recently shared a photo of the four while attending a table read for a possible script. “… he wrote, with the added #stuartfailstosavetheuniverse.”
While we await further details, you can catch up on episodes of The Big Bang Theory on Max, Young Sheldon on Netflix and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage on Pluto TV.
