Was George Sr.’s death in Young Sheldon less impactful because his death wasn’t shown on screen?

Honestly, I liked that Young Sheldon didn’t show George Sr.’s final moments. We all knew that his death was coming, and seeing as season 7 was the last installment of Young Sheldon, it was predictable that it would happen right at the end. Mary opening the door and hearing the news was jarring, but it demonstrated how an event can be life-changing for some people, but for everyone else, it’s just a regular day. However, I know others who felt that not showing it on-screen was a disservice to George Sr.
