‘Young Sheldon’ spinoff show starring East Texas native gets renewed for its second season

The half-hour comedy spinoff is about Sheldon’s brother Georgie Cooper and Mandy, the mother of Georgie’s child, as they raise their young family in Texas.

ORE CITY, Texas — “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” the sitcom starring East Texas native Montana Jordan, is continuing to go strong. This week, CBS renewed the show for its second season.

Jordan, who is from Ore City, stars as the lead in “Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage,” alongside actress Emily Osment. Jordan portrayed the older brother of Sheldon Cooper, Georgie Cooper, in the coming-of-age sitcom, young sheldon
